In the heart of Stockholm, a family-owned company has quietly become a game-changer in the dining industry. Stayhot AB, founded in September 1986, has transformed from a modest importer into one of the region’s most respected producers of food-warming solutions. Combining Scandinavian design principles with innovative functionality, Stayhot is redefining the dining experience for chefs and guests alike.

From Basement Beginnings to Industry Leadership

Stayhot’s story is as inspiring as its products. CEO Karl Lobelius recounts how his parents, Eva and Per Lobelius, started the company in their basement nearly four decades ago. “My father had worked in the restaurant industry for many years and saw a real need for better warming solutions. So, they decided to do something about it and started Lobelius Agenturer AB, which later became the parent company of Stayhot AB,” says Karl.

2013 marked a turning point when Karl took over as CEO. “We decided to shift our focus from simply importing quality products to truly investing in developing and renewing our own product line. At the same time, we moved into our current facility in Stockholm, where we have everything under one roof—from offices and warehouses to product development and production. Having production on-site has given us greater control over every step of the process, from idea to finished product,” shares Karl.

He adds, “We’ve always been committed to preserving the family spirit in our corporate culture. For us, it’s essential that our products are made with care and that every detail reflects quality. That’s why we still handcraft everything here in Sweden.”

Design Meets Innovation: A New Era of Food Warming

Stayhot’s philosophy, Keeping Hot Food in Focus, is at the heart of every creation. Each lamp embodies the timeless principles of Nordic design—understated simplicity, practical functionality, and exceptional longevity. Each product, meticulously engineered and handcrafted in Sweden, enhances the culinary experience while meeting the demands of modern restaurant operations.

The Tabletop Heat Lamps have become a favourite among chefs for their sleek aesthetics, versatility, and performance. They can be seen at events such as the Swedish Chef of the Year and Bocuse d’Or. The newest addition, the Tabletop Heat Lamp Focus LPF model, delivers twice the heat and twice the functionality, making it ideal for high-demand settings. Meanwhile, the innovative Pendant Heat Lamp Focus HAL has transformed buffet setups with separate light and heat controls—an industry first.

Stayhot’s debut at the FHA HoReCa in October 2024, held in Singapore, marked its official entry into the Asian market. With growing interest from regions like Singapore, Hong Kong, and Manila—and previous collaborations with Cinnamon Hotels in Sri Lanka—the company is poised to make a significant impact globally.

Stayhot products are available only on a made-to-order basis.
